Opening up a kitchen and dining room is one of the most popular changes we make, and it has to be done properly. Where a wall is load-bearing, we coordinate with a structural engineer for the beam calculations, support the structure while the wall comes out, install the steel and padstones, and arrange the Building Control inspections.
Once the structure is in, we make the space good with new plasterboard, ceilings, flooring and skirting, so the opening looks like it was always meant to be there.
